Asian food, remixed.

Inspired pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary, energetic venue on Daylesford's main street.

Oysters and sashimi at Betel Boy

Betel Boy Daylesford continues to serve inspired pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary, energetic venue on Daylesford's iconic main street. Now a local staple, the space feels both fresh and familiar.

At the helm, our Head Chef combines thoughtfully sourced ingredients from regional growers with a mastery of Asian flavours. The result is a selection of dishes that push boundaries while staying grounded in quality.

The food

Freshly shucked oysters. Sashimi that's clean and precise. A massaman curry that fills the room with something warm before it even arrives at the table. Sticky bao buns. Sour salads. Dishes designed to be passed around, argued over and ordered again.

The wine list puts Central Victorian growers alongside some of the world's finest. Daylesford beer is on tap, and the cocktails are genuinely worth your attention.

The bar

The drinks list draws from the same pantry as the kitchen: lychee, yuzu, tamarind, ginger, house syrups and fresh citrus. Start with an aperitif at the bar or work through the list over dinner.

Boy-Bar

Tucked behind the restaurant, Boy-Bar is a speakeasy-style space for twenty. Intimate, low-lit and entirely its own world. Available for private bookings and evenings that do not follow a schedule.
